There are many reasons why development projects fail or stall; abandonment due to fall-out, disagreement, or legal dispute are among the most common.
Ineffective Communication
In our experience, the biggest reason why projects fail is ineffective communication between the parties; the client is unable to define requirements accurately, and the developer is unable to extract adequate information from said client to satisfy the need.
A frustrated project can devastate your business operations and finances due to massive cost overruns for an out-of-time product that is not fit for its purpose.
Our Approach
We fully understand the sensitive nature of the situation and have developed a timely solution to alleviate clients’ distress.
Needs Discovery
The first step of the process is to determine the problem and identify current needs. What were your original intentions for this project? Have those intentions shifted, changed, or remained the same? What business needs would this product satisfy?
Assessment
Unfortunately, not all projects are salvageable; some may require a complete do-over. To determine the likelihood of a successful reconciliation, we conduct a thorough assessment of the project in its current state.
Securing Asset
The second part of our assessment necessitates us tracing, identifying and reviewing client-owned project assets (source codes, etc.).
At the end of this two-part process, the client will be provided with a report and our recommendations for the way forward.
Stabilisation & Implementation
If the project can be reconciled, we begin stabilisation to prevent any further system or asset waste. If the project is irreconcilable, we start scrapping and repurposing assets as best as possible.
Delivery
After implementation, we will conduct a series of systems tests to ensure successful product delivery. The client will also be presented with a detailed product report which includes our recommendations for future upgrades and support.
Our goal is to mitigate further losses and ensure that your project is back on stream in the quickest time possible.
